Change on the Global Maritime Forum Board of Directors

Anthony S. Papadimitriou, President of the Onassis Foundation, has decided to step down from the Global Maritime Forum Board of Directors. As a board member, he was instrumental in bringing the recently successfully concluded Annual Summit to Athens.

“I would like to thank Anthony for his hard work and commitment to the evolution and progress of the Global Maritime Forum. His input and effort have been invaluable, and we are very grateful for his contributions,” says Jan Dieleman, chair of the Global Maritime Forum.

The Global Maritime Forum Board of Directors must consist of 5-12 members. After the resignation of Anthony S. Papadimitriou, the board will have nine members. The board will not immediately seek to appoint further directors.

Anthony S. Papadimitriou has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2020.
