On 27, April 2026, the Global Maritime Forum and Shanghai Maritime University hosted a workshop exploring international best practices for advancing the green shipping corridor movement, as well as China’s leadership role as a first-mover nation in maritime decarbonisation. This collaborative event combined presentations with working sessions to exchange knowledge and receive feedback on preliminary results for an upcoming Global Maritime Forum publication: Green shipping corridors: How China is re-energising the global movement. Participants included stakeholders from across the maritime value chain who are engaged in green corridors and shipping decarbonisation.
