Mikael Skov stepped down as chief executive officer of Hafnia and co-chair of the All Aboard Alliance on 1 September 2026, following several years of active leadership and engagement with the Alliance.
Skov was intricately involved with the All Aboard Alliance since its inception and played an important role in its development. As co-chair, he served as a strong advocate for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion across the maritime industry and improving the lives and careers of seafarers.
His leadership helped advance the Alliance’s work to create a maritime industry where people can thrive, develop their careers, and see a future for themselves at sea.
"Mikael has been an important part of the All Aboard Alliance from the very beginning, and I am incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed. I have personally valued his openness, generosity, and support enormously, and his leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Alliance,” said Susanne Justesen, director of human sustainability at the Global Maritime Forum. “Mikael leaves us with a strong foundation and a clear strategy for its next phase, and his contribution will continue to shape the work we take forward. We thank him sincerely and wish him every success in what comes next.”
In a video, Skov reflects on his time with the All Aboard Alliance, shares his thoughts on the progress made so far, and considers the work that remains to ensure the maritime sector continues to attract and retain talent.
Circle DV CEO Meei Wong, who has served as co-chair of the All Aboard Alliance with Skov since May 2024, will chair the Alliance until a new co-chair is appointed in the coming months.
