COPENHAGEN, 26 NOVEMBER – Dry bulk shipowner EBE has joined the Global Maritime Forum as an associate partner and has signed on to the Sea Cargo Charter.
“I’m very pleased that EBE wants to support the Global Maritime Forum and its activities, and we look forward to seeing them at our workshops and at the Annual Summit in Antwerp next year,” said Christian Jacob Hansen, director of partnerships and community engagement at the Global Maritime Forum.
EBE CEO Basile Aloy said the Belgian shipowner looks forward to using the partnership to help advance the sector’s collective goals.
“We want to give back to our industry. There’s no better way than through the Global Maritime Forum, where we can find inspiration from other shipping leaders, commit to working groups to improve seafarer welfare, and combine to speed up decarbonisation,” he said.
The Global Maritime Forum’s Annual Summit 2025 will take place in Antwerp, close to EBE’s base of operations.
With EBE on board, it brings Global Maritime Forum’s total number of partners to 68.
“With more partners, we add more first-mover voices to push for sustainable solutions, and we can expand current projects or fund new initiatives within both decarbonisation and human sustainability,” Hansen said.
